他们在每个 case study 里会深挖这些: 你怎么定义问题?你有没有对给你的 framing 提出过质疑或反推? 你怎么和 engineering、product 协作? 你砍掉了什么,为什么? 实际影响是什么?(他们会在这点上追得很狠。模糊的回答不行。)
他们不在意 slides 的视觉精致程度,更在意你的思考。如果你的作品集都是漂亮 mockup,但没讲清楚 rationale,会很吃亏。
Case interview(是的,设计也要做) 我这轮是 design + business case 的混合。他们给了一个场景:一家传统银行想改善他们移动 app 的 onboarding 体验。让我讲讲你会怎么做。反转点是:他们还想要一个粗略框架,说明我们怎么衡量成功,以及这笔投入的 business case 是什么。
这轮我的咨询背景就帮了大忙。和我聊过的很多设计师在 BCG 这轮都会栽跟头,因为他们会直接开始画草图或谈用户研究,却没先把业务背景框起来。顺序很重要:先理解问题,定义成功指标,再讲设计流程。
Behavioral + fit(60 分钟) 两个面试官。问题围绕:在不确定性下工作、和产品侧 stakeholder 意见不合怎么处理、以及当用户研究说一套但业务想要另一套时我怎么做。也会有一些 culture fit 的问题,比如在快节奏的客户环境里怎么工作。
我拿到 offer 了。一个真诚的提醒:BCG Digital Ventures 强度很高。如果你想要稳定的设计实践,长期拥有并打磨同一个产品,那这里不是。项目轮换很快。有些人很吃这一套。了解你自己。

「how did you define the problem, did you push back on the framing」(你是怎么定义问题的,你有没有对问题框架提出质疑)这个问题作为筛选太被低估了。它能区分只是执行 brief 的人和会挑战 brief 的人。在 consulting 里你得一直做后者。

他们提前要求准备两个。我的 deck 都挺精简的,每个大概 12-15 页。我见过有人带 40 页的 case study,我觉得会适得其反。狠狠剪。要是你 15 页都讲不清一个项目,那说明你自己都没理解清楚,更别说讲给别人听了。

对 designer 来说,business case 这块在咨询公司比在产品公司更常见,我反而觉得这是个更健康的信号。一个 designer 如果没法用业务语言讲清楚影响力,基本很难去影响 roadmap 决策。BCG 某种程度上是不小心在筛这种人。

One piece candidates often underestimate in product design loops at this level is how you reason about tradeoffs in real time, not just the story you prepared. A useful way to structure answers when they press on “what did you cut, and why?” is: Options → constraints → decision rule → consequence.
Example: “We had three paths (A/B/C). Constraints were timeline, data quality, and eng capacity. Our decision rule was: ship the smallest slice that tests the riskiest assumption first. That meant cutting X, keeping Y, and accepting Z downside. Here’s how we measured whether the compromise was acceptable.”
Common failure mode is staying in design artifacts. Stronger is naming the principle that guided the compromise and what you’d do differently with new information.
