「Why Airbnb specifically(为什么是 Airbnb,具体为什么)」是真正会被评价的问题,不是寒暄。

One stage people underestimate in Airbnb loops is the values interview. Across functions (engineering, marketing, People Ops), it is treated as a real pass or fail signal, and it can screen out candidates who are otherwise strong technically or functionally.
A practical way to prep is to pick 3 to 4 stories and map each to: (1) the “belonging” angle, (2) a clear decision you made, (3) the tradeoff you accepted, and (4) how you measured impact on real users or internal stakeholders. Where folks stumble is keeping it abstract. Saying “I value inclusion” is weaker than “here’s the specific program/process change, who it helped, and what changed because of it.” Also be ready for follow-ups on what you would do differently, since they probe for self-awareness.
What are the specific follow-up questions people have gotten in the values portion, and what type of story seemed to land best?
