LVMH interview prep: 7-day priorities (curated)

We see a lot of last-week cram plans that feel busy but don’t move the needle. If you have one week before an LVMH interview, here’s a practical priority order that maps to what candidates commonly report being assessed across roles. 1) Re-anchor your “why” and your target Maison Expect an HR or recruiter screen to probe motivation and fit. Get specific on why this Maison or the Group, what you admire (craft, client experience, brand codes), and what role you want to play in protecting both brand equity and commercial execution. 2) Build 3 tight stories (and make them luxury-relevant) Prepare STAR stories for: (a) influencing without authority, (b) operating under tight timelines, (c) a decision with real tradeoffs. Tie outcomes to the luxury context where relevant: controlled distribution, launch moments, quality gates, boutique experience. 3) Case and test readiness (role-specific) Many processes include an analytical exercise. FP&A/Financial Analyst: refresh P&L logic, budgeting/forecasting cycles, variance analysis, and narrate variances using retail drivers (conversion, mix, returns). Supply Chain Planning: practice forecast accuracy/bias, inventory cover, exception management (demand spikes, delays), and a clear escalation framework. Merch/Buying: rehearse OTB and assortment calls using sales and inventory, balancing novelty vs replenishment and margin without leaning on discounting. Brand Marketing: be ready to critique a recent campaign or propose a launch plan with brand sensitivity and execution detail. 4) Excel and “clean storytelling” together Don’t just calculate. Practice a 60-second readout: what happened, why, what you recommend, what you’d watch next. 5) Stakeholder map and language Panels often include cross-functional partners (retail, ops, finance, PR, e-com). Prepare how you adapt your message for each. 6) Questions that signal judgment Ask about tradeoffs and cadence: close timelines, S&OP rhythm, seasonal calendars, or global-local coordination (as relevant). 7) Logistics and rehearsal Timebox a full mock: intro, case walkthrough, and crisp closing.
