my offer from earlier this year for senior SWE (roughly L5 equivalent, 5 YOE going in): base: $185k equity: 0.03% over 4 years (1-year cliff). at current valuation that's a decent number but obviously illiquid bonus: none, they don't do cash bonus at this level, equity is the variable location: fully remote, i'm in NYC
total TC at face value is around $230k depending on how you mark the equity. i had a competing offer in the $240k TC range and they moved base $10k but held equity flat. not a huge mover.
headcount in eng felt tight, they're not just printing offers right now. but the comp isn't embarrassing for a remote-first design tooling company.

the equity being illiquid is the real thing to underwrite. webflow has been around a while and the IPO timeline is genuinely unclear. i wouldn't count that equity at face value for life planning purposes. base-first is how i'd evaluate it.

that base tracks with what i've seen. for context i got a recruiter reach-out a few months back for a senior role and the range they quoted in the screen was 175-195 base depending on level placement. so your 185 is in range.

yeah 175-195 sounds right for the range. where you land inside it seems to depend a lot on how the HM scores you vs. the rubric, not just your competing offers.

did you negotiate the equity at all or just push on base? curious whether they have flexibility on grant size or if it's truly banded.
