currently on OPT with about 4 months left before I need an H1B transfer started. Wayfair is on my shortlist but I've seen conflicting info about whether they're sponsoring right now given the layoffs.
also does anyone know roughly how long from first recruiter screen to offer? I have some other loops going and I'm trying to map timing. I know nobody can promise anything but even a rough 'usually 3-4 weeks' would help a lot.
my loop was about 5 weeks from screen to offer. some people have said 3 weeks. probably depends on team/req urgency. on the H1B question I genuinely don't know current status, you should ask the recruiter directly early. they know and won't ding you for asking.
most large tech companies including Wayfair sponsor H1B as a baseline, but that can change with headcount freezes. ask on the recruiter call: 'does this role include visa sponsorship?' any recruiter worth their desk will give you a straight answer. don't wait until after the offer.
