applied to a WBD APM role, no idea what their PM interview looks like

okay so i applied to an Associate Product Manager opening at Warner Bros. Discovery (it's under the Max/streaming division) and somehow got a recruiter screen scheduled for next week. i'm panicking a little.

i have zero media industry background. my internships were at a B2B SaaS company and a fintech startup. is that going to be a dealbreaker? or can i make the case that product fundamentals transfer?

also: does anyone know if their PM interviews are more case-style or behavioral? i've been prepping STAR stories but if they do a product case i need to shift gears fast. any info on what the WBD/Max PM loop actually looks like would be genuinely helpful right now.

i went through an APM process at a big media company (not WBD but similar vibe) and it was mostly behavioral with one product-design question. something like 'design a feature for our app that helps users discover content they didn't know they wanted.' totally answerable from first principles, no industry background needed.

the SaaS background is fine. what you DO need: actual opinions about Max as a product. use it. form a view on what the discovery experience is like vs competitors. that's the fastest way to bridge the background gap.

fintech to media is not a dealbreaker at APM level if your fundamentals are sharp. what kills candidates is not being curious about the product space. watch a couple of their shows, use the app for a week, and you'll have more to say than half the people who apply.
