i did my virtual onsite last Thursday for a SWE new grad role at Walmart Global Tech (Hoboken office). recruiter said i'd hear back in '1-2 weeks' but i've seen people mention it taking way longer on other forums. i'm trying to figure out how anxious to be.
i have another offer expiring in 3 weeks and i genuinely don't know if i should ask for an extension or just make a call. really liked the Walmart interviews honestly, the team seemed solid. just the waiting that's killing me.

reach out to your recruiter at the 1-week mark with a brief email. say you have a competing offer expiring on X date and ask if they can share a decision timeline. that's not rude, it's useful info for both sides. don't sit on it.

okay i sent the email. they said they're 'still in debrief' but appreciated the heads up. so. waiting more i guess.

their post-onsite timeline is genuinely variable. i've seen people report 8 days, others 5 weeks. Bentonville internal approvals can slow things down. if you have a real deadline, flag it early and be specific about the date.
