how long does Unity usually take to get back after a final round? kind of spiraling

did my last round 10 days ago for a junior SWE role on the runtime team. recruiter said "a few days" after round 5. it's been 10 days and she's not responding to my follow-up email from day 6.

i know i know, radio silence doesn't necessarily mean bad news, but this one really mattered to me because i genuinely care about the space and it would be my first job out of school. has anyone had long waits at Unity that turned into offers? or at least some data on how long the post-loop silence usually runs?

already have one other offer with a deadline coming up. not sure whether to push on that deadline or just let Unity go.

10 days post-final with no recruiter response is not great, honestly. the "a few days" framing usually means they're either stuck on headcount approval or the debrief went sideways. if you have a competing offer with a real deadline, email the recruiter with the deadline date and ask for a status update by a specific day. don't be apologetic about it. companies understand competing offers and good recruiters will move if you give them a deadline.

had the same thing happen to me, but 8 days, and it turned into an offer. sometimes the holdup is someone on the debrief panel being slow to submit their feedback. not trying to get your hopes up, just saying the silence doesn't tell you much.

use the competing offer. that's what it's for. send something like "I have an offer deadline of [date] and wanted to check in before making a decision." it's not rude, it's professional. if Unity wants you, they'll move. if they don't respond, you have your answer.
