I've made it past the online assessments and the HireVue for the Unilever Future Leaders Programme (UFLP) marketing track. Assessment centre is in two weeks and I'm kind of spiraling.
I've prepped STAR stories but then I keep reading that they do "strengths-based" interviews and STAR isn't the right approach? do I just throw out all my prep? also what's the group exercise actually like, do people get combative or is it collaborative?
any recent UFLP people out there please help

don't throw out your STAR prep, the stories are still useful material. you just frame the answer differently. instead of "I led this project and here's the outcome," you lead with what you enjoyed about it and why it felt natural. the story is still in there, it's just not the headline. it clicked for me once I thought of it that way.

okay that framing actually helps a lot. lead with the energy/enjoyment, back it with the example. got it, thank you.

the group exercise at my assessment centre was collaborative, not combative. the pressure is mostly the time constraint. someone will try to be a hero and dominate. just don't be that person and you're already ahead.
