Is it worth applying to Twitter as a new grad? Kind of scared to.

I keep going back and forth on applying. The name recognition is huge obviously, and they do seem to be hiring again. But I've heard the culture is really different now and new grads don't always get the mentorship they need.

Also the onsite sounds intense for someone with like one internship on their resume. Do they actually hire new grads or is the bar more senior than the JD implies? Anyone recently apply at the new-grad or early-career level?

they do hire new grads but the pipeline is thin. they lost a lot of the university programs after 2022. if you apply, go direct via the careers page and don't wait for campus recruitment. it just doesn't exist the way it used to.

i'd apply. worst case it's practice and you learn what their screen looks like. best case you get through. the bar is real but they're not doing 7-round loops for entry level.

the mentorship question is legit though. if structured onboarding matters to you, get that answer in writing before you accept anything. from what i've heard the experience varies a lot by team.

yeah that's a good point. i'll add it to my list of questions if i make it to the offer stage. assuming i make it that far lol.
