i'm graduating in August and Scale is one of my top choices but i'm OPT eligible, not a citizen. does anyone know if they sponsor OPT and eventually H1B? i've heard mixed things about AI companies and visa support lately.
also how fast is the process once you get through the recruiter screen? i applied 3 weeks ago and just got the first coding challenge. trying to figure out if there's any chance of having an offer before graduation.

they do sponsor H1B, at least they did for my team. OPT is generally fine at companies this size, they know the process. that said, verify with the recruiter directly. don't assume. ask explicitly during the offer stage: 'do you have an immigration attorney on retainer and what's your process for H1B sponsorship.' any company worth joining will answer that clearly.

thank you, that helps. will ask the recruiter. i've just been burned before by 'we handle visa stuff' being vague code for 'we'll figure it out later'.

timeline-wise: once you're in active process and they want to move, Scale tends to run fast. if you're post-coding challenge and they like your scores, next steps usually happen within 1-2 weeks. it's not glacial. just keep the recruiter warm, send a brief note saying you're excited and ask if there's anything else needed from your end.
