FAANG L5/Senior SWE total comp ranges: Q1 2026

Primly Team · 3 replies

A rough snapshot of mid-level Senior SWE total compensation at major tech companies, based on community data points + public sources (Levels.fyi, H1B disclosures). Bay Area, ~5-8 YOE, IC track.

| Company | Base | Equity (annual) | Bonus | Total | |---|---|---|---|---| | Google L5 | $210-235K | $180-260K | 15% | $440-540K | | Meta E5 | $215-240K | $200-280K | 15-22.5% | $450-570K | | Amazon L6 | $185-220K | $140-220K (front-loaded) | n/a | $330-450K | | Apple ICT4 | $200-230K | $150-220K | 10-15% | $390-480K | | Netflix Senior | $400-650K | (all-cash, no equity) | n/a | $400-650K |

Caveats: Wide ranges intentional. Equity at Meta/Google depends heavily on grant date stock price. Amazon front-loads equity heavily (years 1-2 are low, years 3-4 are spike). Netflix's all-cash model means no upside but easier to compare offers.

amazon L6 numbers check out. signed there at 215 base / 185 avg rsu (heavily back-loaded, year 1 is like 50, year 4 is 400). worth knowing the back-loading when comparing to companies that vest flat.

apple ICT4, 6 YOE, bay area, 2025 Q4: 215 base / 165 RSU (4yr flat) / 12% target / 60K sign-on. TC ~440. negotiated up from 200/140/12/30 with a meta E5 offer. apple matched on base but not on RSU. meta would have been higher TC year 1 but apple has lower variance, picked apple.

these numbers are anchored on people who got hired with leverage. the median Senior at all 5 of these is probably 30-50K lower than what's posted in this kind of thread. survivorship bias is real. people who took the floor offer aren't usually the ones posting comp data online.
