How specific do the PM behavioral questions get at Pinterest?

I have a Pinterest APM interview coming up in two weeks and I'm trying to figure out how deep they go on behavioral. I've heard they care a lot about collaboration and inclusion but I'm not sure if that means a dedicated behavioral round or if it's woven into every conversation.

Also: is the product critique on an existing Pinterest feature or do they give you a hypothetical? I've been using the app more this week trying to prep but I genuinely can't tell if that's useful or if it's going to be a completely made-up scenario.

Any recent PM loop experience would really help here.

from what i've seen shared: the product critique is usually on an existing Pinterest surface, which is why using the product matters. they want to see how you think, not whether you know their internal roadmap. have a genuine point of view on something specific, not "the search experience could be better" but like which part and why and what you'd measure.

behavioral at Pinterest is woven throughout but there's usually at least one dedicated round. expect the classic depth probing, "tell me more, what was your specific role, what would you do differently." your answers need to be about you, not your team. a lot of PM candidates accidentally describe what the team did instead of what they decided.

that's a really helpful distinction. i have a habit of saying "we" even when i made the call. going to consciously reframe before the loop. thank you.
