applying to Pfizer for a data analyst role in their digital/commercial analytics group. i'm on OPT right now with about 14 months left, so I need to know if they actually sponsor H1B or if this is a "we consider sponsorship on a case by case basis" situation which basically means no.
also how long does their process usually take? if it's an 8 week loop I'm nervous about burning runway. anyone been through this recently?

pfizer does sponsor H1B, it's on their careers FAQ and I've seen it confirmed by people who got offers. they're a big enough company that the legal infrastructure is there. that said, ask the recruiter directly in the first call, get it in writing before you spend 6 rounds on them.

14 months on OPT is workable for most enterprise companies but you're right to ask early. some hiring managers at legacy companies get spooked by visa requirements even when the company officially supports it. make sure you get it surfaced early so it doesn't derail you at offer stage.

that's kind of what I was afraid of. going to ask on the very first recruiter call. thanks for confirming it's worth being upfront about.

pfizer data analytics loop was 5 weeks for me last year (pre-offer). not the fastest but not the worst. they sent a status update at each stage which honestly is more than most companies do.
