got a recruiter screen scheduled for a data analyst role on the ad sales team. i've been reading everything i can find but there's not a lot of specifics out there for this particular team.
a few things stressing me out: is it just SQL or do they go into Python/R too? also the job posting mentioned "experience with audience measurement" which i don't have at all. should i try to bluff through that or just be upfront about the gap?
also curious what the recruiter screen is like, whether it's a quick vibe check or they actually go into skills. any NBCU data people here?

ad sales analytics at a media company is almost entirely SQL and dashboards. Python is nice to have but not the bar. audience measurement stuff (Nielsen, comScore) is domain knowledge they generally expect to teach. just say you haven't worked with it but you've read about it and you're comfortable picking up domain-specific tooling. don't fake it, they'll know.

recruiter screens at NBCU from what I've seen are pretty standard: 20-25 min, background walk-through, why NBCU, salary check. skills deep-dive comes later. so just have a clean 2-minute pitch ready and don't panic about SQL until round 2.
