Mental Health: Weekly job search check-in

Primly Team · 0 replies

The job search can put your nervous system on a rollercoaster. If this week felt heavy, scattered, or slower than you hoped, you are not behind or broken. You are responding to a stressful process.

This check-in is a space for honest updates: progress, setbacks, and next steps. No forced optimism, no “just grind harder.” We can hold multiple truths at once, like: you can be proud you kept going and still be exhausted.

If it helps, share in any format below:

1) One thing you did (big or small): Applied to one role, sent one message, updated one bullet, showed up to one call, took one rest day.

2) One hard thing that showed up: Rejection, silence, comparison, brain fog, money stress, interview anxiety, burnout.

3) What you need next week: Accountability, feedback, a smaller plan, a break, boundaries, a pep talk, or just to vent.

4) One next step (make it tiny): “Draft one outreach message.” “Find two roles to bookmark.” “Ask someone to review my resume.” “Take a full day off and log out.”

A note we will keep repeating: rest is not a reward you earn after productivity. For roles like this, sustainable momentum usually comes from realistic pacing, not self-criticism.

What are you carrying from this week, and what is one next step you want to take (or choose not to take) next week?
