lost two friends to job search depression last year. both of them mentioned in the weeks before that they felt like they were burdening people by talking about it. they weren't. nobody who is reading this is a burden for being not ok. please call. they answer.

pinned this in my browser. when you've hired 200 people you've also indirectly rejected thousands. it's easy to forget what each of those rejections does on the receiving end. thank you for making this the first thing people see when they land here.

adding from week 31 of my search: the 988 line is worth calling even if you feel like you 'just' have job search hopelessness, not 'real' crisis. they don't gatekeep what counts. called them last month. still here.
