Applied to the Mars Leadership Training (MLT) program for a finance rotation role. Got a recruiter screen scheduled for next week and I'm kind of spiraling.
I've read that the MLT is competitive but I can't find good data on what actually happens in the loop. Do they do cases? Is it mostly behavioral? Do they care a lot about GPA? I have a 3.4 which is fine but not outstanding.
Also: the posting mentioned "the Five Principles" and I've read them but honestly I'm not sure how to naturally bring them up without sounding like I memorized a brochure. Any grads who went through this recently, anything you can share would really help my nerves here.

3.4 is fine for most MLT tracks, the program cares more about demonstrated leadership and functional interest than GPA cutoffs (unless you're competing for a very specific slot at a very target school, in which case ask your career center). For the Five Principles, you don't have to name-drop them all. Pick one that actually connects to something you did and tell that story naturally. They'll recognize it.

I went through MLT finance two years ago. There was no case at the screen stage for me, just behavioral. The case component came in the final round, and it was more of a discussion than a timed thing. They wanted to see how you structure a problem, not that you got the right answer in 20 minutes.
