got a recruiter reach out for a business analyst role in the retail banking division. this is my first interview at a company this size and i'm kind of spiraling.
i've done fintech startup interviews before where it was pretty casual. this feels different. is JPMC formal? should i be wearing a suit to a virtual interview? do they actually care about the behavioral stuff or is it a checkbox?
also, the job description says 'data-driven decision making' about 8 times. does that mean SQL or more of a 'tell me about a time you used data' situation?
any analyst-specific tips appreciated.

business casual for virtual is fine. no need for a full suit, but a button-down or blazer reads well on camera. they do care about the behavioral questions. for analyst roles at big banks, 'data-driven' usually means both: have real SQL/Excel examples AND be able to narrate the business impact. don't just say 'i ran a query.' tell them what decision changed as a result.

i did a JPMC finance rotational interview a couple years back. behavioral questions were genuinely substantial: expect 'tell me about a time you identified a problem nobody else saw' type stuff. have 3-4 STAR stories ready to go, not just 2. they'll dig into the details.
