finishing my MHA in may and HCA's management development track keeps coming up as one of the better hospital-operator programs. but i can't find much about what the interview actually looks like for new grads vs experienced hires.
like, do they do case interviews? is it mostly behavioral? are the interviewers clinical people or HR? i've done mock behavioral interviews but i'm genuinely not sure what flavor to prep for here. any MHA folks or recent grads who've been through it would be a huge help.

the MDP loop is behavioral-heavy, not case-based. they're looking for leadership potential and learning agility, not consulting chops. think: tell me about a time you led without authority, how you handled a conflict in a team, what you did when you had to learn something fast. solid STAR prep is the right call. panelists are usually a mix of HR and an ops director.

i know someone who went through the MDP last year. she said the culture fit piece mattered a lot, they really probed for genuine interest in healthcare specifically, not just healthcare as a career stepping stone. come with a real answer for "why hospital operations."
