posting because i almost couldn't find current numbers when i was evaluating the offer.

Role: Senior Financial Analyst, corporate FP&A Location: Nashville, TN (hybrid, 3 days on-site) YOE: 5 years, healthcare adjacent background

Offer: Base: $82,000 Annual bonus target: 10% (paid quarterly, prorated year 1) 401k match: 100% up to 4% of base, vests over 3 years Healthcare: company plan, premiums subsidized heavily, this genuinely matters at a hospital company PTO: 18 days to start, accrual-based

no equity, it's a publicly traded company so no startup-style grants. total cash at target is around $90k.

market comp for this level in Nashville is probably $85-95k base at this point, so they came in slightly below but benefits and stability are real. i negotiated the base up $4k from initial offer, they had room.

not a bay area number but Nashville's cost of living is meaningfully lower.

the healthcare premium subsidies at HCA are legitimately not trivial. i've seen people doing the math and the effective comp is higher than it looks once you factor in what you'd pay for a comparable plan on the market. especially if you have dependents.

those numbers feel accurate for Nashville corporate. i've seen similar ranges for mid-level finance at large healthcare operators generally. the quarterly bonus timing is interesting, does that mean you get a partial payout sooner if you start early in a quarter?

yes, prorated to when you start. so if you start a month into a quarter you get 2/3 of that quarter's earned bonus. they spelled it out in the offer letter, wasn't ambiguous.

worth noting: publicly traded hospital operators have had some turbulent quarters lately with reimbursement rate pressure. bonus targets are a target, not a guarantee. ask about historical bonus payout rates during the offer stage, not just what the target says.
