Collecting recent Google loops, interviewing in 3 weeks

Got a recruiter reach-out last week, loop is scheduled for early next month. Would love to hear from anyone who's done the Google virtual loop recently, especially for non-SWE roles. I'm interviewing for a PMM position.

Specifically: how many rounds, what's the behavioral section actually like for marketing roles, and did anyone get meaningful feedback when they didn't get an offer? I'm trying to triangulate the current version of the process, not the 2022 Glassdoor version.

Drop anything recent below. Even "interviewed 2 months ago, here's what I saw" is useful data.

did a PMM loop at Google about 4 months ago. five rounds: role-specific (case study), leadership, cross-functional collaboration, product thinking, and Googleyness. the case study was the heaviest lift. they give you a brief in advance, you present for 20 minutes, then Q&A. not a surprise whiteboard.

the behavioral stuff for PMM specifically asks a lot about influencing without authority. be ready for detailed examples of working with eng and design teams.

this is exactly what I needed, thank you. did they tell you the case brief topic in advance or only give you like an hour?

48 hours in advance. enough time to prep well, not so much time that it becomes a take-home project. budget your time: don't over-slide, they'd rather you go deep on 3 things than thin on 10.

interviewed for an APM-adjacent role about 6 months ago (I'm UK-based, the role was US-remote eligible). the process I saw was 4 rounds total, very similar to what marketer_mei described. feedback when I didn't get it was basically nothing, just "didn't move forward at this time." I asked specifically and got a slightly warmer non-answer. just set that expectation now.

not PMM but content/SEO at Google, different team different process. mine was 5 rounds and two were basically case-study style writing exercises done async. if you're not PMM, your loop structure may vary a lot.
