interviewing at EY (Strategy and Transactions, senior associate level) in about a month. trying to get a current picture of what the loop looks like because the info online varies a lot by service line and it's hard to tell what's current.
if you've been through any EY process in the last 12 months, can you drop: service line, level, number of rounds, whether there was a case component, and rough timeline? even just one or two data points would help calibrate.
i know they vary by office too so location context is useful if you're comfortable sharing.

EY Technology Consulting, data engineering focus, senior consultant level, Chicago office. fall 2025. 3 rounds total: recruiter screen, 1 behavioral with a manager, 1 technical/behavioral hybrid with a partner. no written case for my track. timeline was 6 weeks. offer came in at the top of their band for Chicago.

EY Business Consulting, operations focus, consultant level (post-undergrad, 2 years exp). NYC, spring 2026. 3 rounds, all behavioral, no case. they emphasized client-facing experience heavily. 4 weeks start to offer.

strategy and transactions specifically is closer to investment banking culture than regular consulting at EY. expect more finance-heavy conversations, some modeling logic questions, and a room full of people who care a lot about deal experience. not a warm fuzzy culture fit conversation.

that tracks with what i've heard. i have m&a modeling experience so i'm hoping that helps. will prep some deal-specific behavioral stories.
