hi, i'm a senior going through EY's campus recruiting for Assurance (not consulting, just regular audit track). had my first-round interviews at the campus fair like three weeks ago and heard nothing since. my campus recruiter gave me a generic "we'll be in touch" and that was it.
is this normal for EY? did anyone else get ghosted for a few weeks then suddenly get an offer? i have another offer expiring in 3 weeks and am trying to figure out whether to follow up or wait or just take the other thing. the uncertainty is really stressing me out.

three weeks with no update is normal for the Big 4 during peak season. they're batch-processing hundreds of campus candidates and everything runs on the partner schedule. follow up with your campus recruiter once, politely, with a specific ask: "do you have an estimated decision date?" don't ask for feedback or hint at your competing offer yet. just get a date.

ok following up today. thank you. i've been afraid to seem pushy but a simple timeline ask feels manageable.

if you have a competing offer with a hard deadline, tell the recruiter. you don't have to name the other firm, just say you have an offer expiring on [date] and you'd like to give EY a decision before then if possible. big firms are used to this and often can expedite. silence helps nobody.
