Expedia Group runs a structured 4-6 round loop for most software and product roles. You'll typically see a recruiter screen, a technical phone screen (LC-style DSA, usually medium difficulty), and then a virtual onsite with 2-3 coding rounds plus a system design and a behavioral block. For product roles, add an estimation/analytics question and a product critique of something in the Expedia or Hotels.com ecosystem.
Expedia leans heavily on behavioral signals: they use the STAR format and will push you to be specific. Leadership principles are less explicit than Amazon's, but ownership, customer empathy, and cross-team collaboration show up in nearly every debrief rubric. The travel domain comes up organically, so knowing their product portfolio (Expedia, Hotels.com, Vrbo, Trivago, Egencia) helps.
Timelines are generally reasonable: recruiter to offer in 3-5 weeks if the loop moves. There's been some slowdown in some orgs since 2024 headcount reductions, so ask your recruiter which team you're looping for early.
