went through the Deloitte consulting interview process earlier this year and want to share the actual timeline because I could not find a straight answer before I started.
applied online mid-January. recruiter reached out 12 days later. first call was a 30-minute recruiter screen, pretty standard, asking about background and fit. they moved fast after that.
round 1 behavioral: scheduled 8 days after the recruiter screen. two interviewers, about 45 minutes each. heavy STAR format. they asked about leading cross-functional work, handling ambiguous project scope, and a time I had to influence without authority.
round 2 case + fit: this came 11 days later. one interviewer did a case (market sizing, fairly structured), the other did a 30-minute behavioral deep dive. Deloitte cases in 2026 lean toward public sector and healthcare transformation, at least for the S&O practice.
debrief and decision: recruiter called 6 business days after the final round. offer was verbal, then written three days after that.
total time from application to written offer: roughly 7 weeks. that felt on the slower side from what some friends described at MBB, but Deloitte has a bigger hiring funnel across practices so I think scheduling just takes longer.
a few things that seemed to matter on timeline: responding to scheduling requests within 24 hours moved things along. one week I was slow to respond and I think it pushed my round 2 by almost two weeks.
if you're going through it now: expect 5-8 weeks if everything moves smoothly. the recruiter was pretty responsive and gave me status updates without me having to chase. the written offer had a 5-day acceptance window.
