Deloitte interview timeline, how long from screen to offer

went through the Deloitte consulting interview process earlier this year and want to share the actual timeline because I could not find a straight answer before I started.

applied online mid-January. recruiter reached out 12 days later. first call was a 30-minute recruiter screen, pretty standard, asking about background and fit. they moved fast after that.

round 1 behavioral: scheduled 8 days after the recruiter screen. two interviewers, about 45 minutes each. heavy STAR format. they asked about leading cross-functional work, handling ambiguous project scope, and a time I had to influence without authority.

round 2 case + fit: this came 11 days later. one interviewer did a case (market sizing, fairly structured), the other did a 30-minute behavioral deep dive. Deloitte cases in 2026 lean toward public sector and healthcare transformation, at least for the S&O practice.

debrief and decision: recruiter called 6 business days after the final round. offer was verbal, then written three days after that.

total time from application to written offer: roughly 7 weeks. that felt on the slower side from what some friends described at MBB, but Deloitte has a bigger hiring funnel across practices so I think scheduling just takes longer.

a few things that seemed to matter on timeline: responding to scheduling requests within 24 hours moved things along. one week I was slow to respond and I think it pushed my round 2 by almost two weeks.

if you're going through it now: expect 5-8 weeks if everything moves smoothly. the recruiter was pretty responsive and gave me status updates without me having to chase. the written offer had a 5-day acceptance window.

thank you for this. I'm currently at week 4 since my round 1 and starting to spiral a bit. did you ever feel like silence was a bad sign or was there just a lot of dead air between rounds?

honestly there was a full 10-day gap between round 1 and when they scheduled round 2, and I heard nothing. ended up emailing the recruiter just to confirm they had what they needed. she replied same day and said they were just coordinating interviewer schedules. silence is not necessarily a rejection signal there.

7 weeks for consulting is pretty normal, especially at a firm this size. the coordination overhead between practice leads who all have different calendars adds up. if you hit week 10 with no update, then push.

do you know if Deloitte sponsors H1B for consulting roles? the timeline matters a lot to me because I'm on OPT and have maybe 4 months of runway.

Deloitte does sponsor H1B, yes. I'd be upfront with the recruiter early so they can flag it internally. the sponsorship process varies by practice and sometimes by office, so don't assume, just ask directly during the recruiter screen.
