Interviewing at CVS Health? Here's what to know.

CVS Health is one of the largest healthcare companies in the US, spanning retail pharmacy, PBM (Caremark), health insurance (Aetna), and MinuteClinics. That breadth means the interview experience varies quite a bit by division and role.

For corporate and tech roles, expect 3-4 rounds: a recruiter screen, a hiring-manager conversation, and then a panel or behavioral round. Behavioral questions lean heavily on their cultural values around putting customers and members first, collaboration across teams, and accountability. STAR-format answers land well here.

For tech and data roles specifically, the loop often includes a technical screen (SQL, Python, or systems design depending on level) plus a business-context case where they want you to connect technical work to patient or business outcomes. They care that you understand the healthcare context, not just the code.

For pharmacy, healthcare ops, or business roles, the process tends to be more competency-based. Expect questions about navigating ambiguity, cross-functional alignment, and decisions you made with incomplete information.

One consistent signal across roles: CVS Health is large and moves deliberately. Response times between rounds can be slow. Build in extra time for that.
