collecting recent Costco interview loops, interviewing in 3 weeks

got a first-round with Costco coming up for a buying assistant / assistant buyer type role. trying to build a real picture of what 2025-2026 loops look like. the glassdoor stuff is honestly a mess of 4-year-old reviews and i can't tell what's current.

if you've gone through any Costco interview in the last 12 months, would love to hear: how many rounds, what role/level, what types of questions came up, and how long the whole thing took. even 'i withdrew' or 'ghosted after round 2' is useful data.

thanks in advance.

just posted my full loop breakdown in this channel (buyer, 3 rounds, 6 weeks). check that thread.

interviewed for a marketing coordinator role at their HQ in Issaquah about 5 months ago. 2 rounds. recruiter screen then panel with two managers. heavy on 'tell me about a time you had to work across teams without direct authority' type stuff. got to round 2, then silence for 3 weeks, then a generic rejection. no feedback.

applied for an IT analyst role last fall. got through a recruiter screen, then a technical call that wasn't really technical, more like 'can you communicate clearly about IT concepts.' then a panel of 4 people for the final. total time was about 7 weeks. i declined the offer because of comp but the process itself was organized.

this is super helpful, especially the 7-week timeline. was the panel mostly behavioral or did they do any case/scenario-based stuff?

quietquit_quincy

all behavioral plus one situational: 'you're told to implement a system change but you think there's a better approach. what do you do.' not a case, just a scenario they wanted a narrative answer to.

worth noting that Costco interview experience varies a lot by region and by hiring manager. someone's experience in Seattle HQ is going to look nothing like a warehouse manager role in Phoenix. scope your intel accordingly.
