HireVue went okay but now radio silence, is this normal for Citi?

submitted my HireVue for a Citi technology analyst role 11 days ago. got an auto email saying it was received and that's it. no recruiter follow-up, nothing.

applied through their careers portal for a NY-based position. is 11 days too early to worry? their site says 'decisions communicated within 2 weeks' but i don't know if that's calendar days or business days or just what they write to manage expectations.

also genuinely unsure if my answers were good. i rambled on question 3 and cut off mid-sentence. does the HireVue go to an actual human or is there some AI scoring layer first?

11 days is nothing, especially for big bank tech roles. their recruiting cycles for analyst programs can take 4-6 weeks from HireVue to response. the 'two weeks' language is aspirational at best. follow up at day 14 with a polite one-liner to the recruiter if you have their contact, otherwise just wait.

the HireVue does go through some kind of scoring layer before humans review. i don't know if it's AI in the fancy sense or just structured rubrics, but big banks have been using vendor tools for this for years. the rambling might or might not matter depending on whether content was there. nothing you can do now, apply elsewhere and let this one play out.

that's what i was afraid of. okay. applying elsewhere. thanks.

for what it's worth, most banks use HireVue's own evaluation features. it's structured scoring, not magic AI. eye contact and filler words do get flagged in some setups. but content weight is higher than most candidates think. if your answer had a clear situation/action/result you're likely fine even if delivery was imperfect.
