interviewing at Citi in about 3 weeks for a VP-level role in their markets division. i've prepped the standard behavioral stuff but would love to hear from anyone who's been through their loop in the last 6 months, especially for mid-to-senior level.
a few things i'm specifically trying to understand: how much do they push on 'why Citi' versus 'why this specific division,' how technical do the behavioral rounds get at VP level, and has anyone had a case component outside of analyst tracks?
any intel appreciated. superdays are kind of a sport and i'd rather go in knowing the course.

not markets but i did an ICG sales loop at VP level last year. 'why Citi' mattered a lot less than 'why this client segment' and 'how do you manage a complex stakeholder sale.' they want to see you've thought about the business, not just that you want the logo. at VP they assume you know why the brand is credible.

i can speak to tech VP-equivalent not markets, but the 'why this division' framing tracks. they really do care that you've thought about TTS vs ICG vs PBWM as distinct things, not just 'Citi.' shows you did homework.

went through a markets-adjacent operations role at VP level a while back. no case component, just behavioral plus a round that was basically a structured conversation about how you'd handle a team conflict and a client escalation in the same week. less about content more about how you narrate pressure.
