Comp offer for Field Leader role. Newport Beach area. Curious how it compares.

just got an offer for a Field Leader role (oversees multiple restaurant locations in the SoCal region). posting the numbers since there's almost nothing on this role publicly.

offer breakdown: base: $105k annual bonus target: 15% (manager discretion, said typical payout has been 80-100% of target in recent years) benefits: solid medical/dental, 401k with 4% match, free food allowance (yes it's real, yes i checked) relo: not applicable, i'm local

i'm transitioning from military logistics so i don't have a great private-sector benchmark. the role is regional ops, covering something like 6-8 restaurants. feels like a lot of responsibility for that base but the growth track to Director of Operations is apparently real here. would appreciate any sanity checks.

field leader / multi-unit ops in QSR tends to land $90-115k in SoCal depending on how many units and the brand. $105k at 6-8 Chipotle locations is reasonable but not rich given the scope. the 15% bonus is standard for the level. the internal track to Director is genuinely a real path here, more so than most chains. negotiate the base if you can, they usually have $5-10k of room.

the 'growth track is real' line is how every company sells a below-market base. push on the bonus structure. get it in writing that recent payouts were actually 80-100% and ask what percentage of field leaders hit full target last year. if they can't answer that, the number is decorative.

fair point. i'll ask about the historical bonus payout rate before i sign. thanks.
