have a Chime loop coming up for senior SWE (backend, payments infra team). trying to calibrate what recent candidates actually saw.
if you've been through their loop in 2025 or early 2026, drop what you can: role and level number of rounds types of interviews (LC, system design, behavioral count) where you landed (offer, no-offer, ghosted) anything that felt different from a standard loop
appreciate any data. not looking for vibes, looking for structure.

just posted a detailed breakdown above. senior backend mid-level. 1 recruiter screen, 1 HM, 1 coding (2 problems, 60 min), 1 system design (fintech slant, 60 min), 2 behavioral panels. offer.

did their loop about 4 months ago for a staff-level role. they added a second system design for staff, specifically around distributed consistency. 6 rounds total. offer but i didn't take it.

why didn't you take it if you don't mind sharing? comp or something else?
corp_refugee
comp was fine, actually. the role was more infra/platform maintenance than greenfield work. just not what i wanted at this stage.

no-offer from about 5 months ago. made it to system design, struggled with the payments-specific constraints. they gave useful feedback though, which is rare.
