interviewing at Box for a data eng role in 3 weeks, anyone run this loop recently?

got a recruiter screen coming up for a senior data engineer role at Box. the job description mentions Spark, Airflow, and "Box platform data infrastructure" which is fairly vague.

anyone run through their data eng interview loop recently? specifically wondering: what does the technical screen look like, SQL heavy or more system design? is there a take-home or is it all live? what does the on-site panel structure look like for data roles specifically?

would really appreciate anyone who's been through it in the past 6 months or so, their process might have changed from older posts.

not data eng specifically but i did the data scientist loop at Box about 4 months ago. technical screen was 50% SQL (two problems, window functions came up), 50% python/pandas. no take-home. on-site was 4 rounds: SQL deep dive, a case/problem-solving round, behavioral, and a hiring manager chat. total about 4 hours over one day.

that's helpful, thanks. window functions makes sense, i'd expect that. curious if the system design component shows up for data roles at all or if it's more execution-focused.

there was a mild system design flavor in the case round but nothing heavy. more "how would you approach this pipeline problem" than white-boarding a distributed system.

I interviewed there 6 months ago for a platform role, different function but overlapping. The recruiter screen was pretty information-light on their end, they were mostly trying to check basics. Get specifics from the recruiter before the technical about what to expect.
