I applied to three software engineer roles at AT&T through their careers site and heard nothing for two weeks, then got a generic rejection on one and nothing on the others. Is there a separate new grad program or do they just... not really hire new grads into software?
I've seen mentions of an "Emerging Technologies" program but I can't find current info on whether that's still running. Graduation is in May, trying to figure out if this is worth pursuing or if I should focus somewhere else. The roles say "0-2 years experience" but that might just be template language.
If anyone's gone through their new grad process recently, even for non-software roles, I'd love to know what the actual path looks like.

AT&T does hire new grads but not at the same volume as a typical tech company. Most new grad SWE slots go through specific university partnerships, especially Texas schools. If you didn't come through a campus recruiting event or career fair, the online portal is genuinely a black box. I'd try to find a referral or reach someone on LinkedIn who works in their talent acquisition org.

i got an interview there last year through a campus event, didn't end up getting the offer but the process was actually pretty standard: coding screen on hackerrank then a video panel. the roles exist, just hard to find the right door in

for non-software roles (analyst, bizops, finance) they seem to recruit more actively from schools. might be worth looking at rotational programs if you're open to that track.
