Asana BizOps loop starting soon. can people share recent data points?

interviewing at Asana for a BizOps analyst role in about 3 weeks. I've done my homework but I'd love to hear from anyone who's gone through their ops/analytics hiring process recently, especially 2025-2026.

specifically trying to understand: how case-heavy is the analytical round? is it SQL, Excel modeling, or more whiteboard-style? and does the behavioral piece feel like a formality or does it genuinely influence the decision?

any details welcome, even rough impressions. not trying to game the process, just want to walk in knowing what to actually prepare for.

not biz ops specifically but did an analytics adjacent role there 6 months ago. the analytical round was SQL plus a short take-home. nothing exotic, standard aggregations and some joins. the take-home had one open-ended 'what would you dig into next' question that I think mattered more than the SQL itself.

behavioral is not a formality at Asana. I've heard this from people inside. they use a structured rubric and calibrate across interviewers. treating it like a checkbox is how candidates with good technical screens still lose out.

I interviewed for a strategy and ops role there last year. the case was something like: our enterprise customer retention dropped 4 points this quarter, walk me through your analysis. they wanted a hypothesis-first approach, not just 'I'd pull a lot of data.' have a clear structure before you speak.
