Got through the recruiter screen and technical phone screen for a senior marketing role at Airbnb. Loop is scheduled for three weeks out.
I know the engineering process is well-documented but the marketing loop seems less covered. I've seen references to a case study presentation and a 'bar raiser' style round but nothing current.
If you've gone through any Airbnb interview in the last 6-12 months, marketing or otherwise, drop your experience below. Specifically curious about: how many rounds, whether there's a take-home, and whether the Core Values round hits the same regardless of function. Also timing between rounds to offer.
Trying to build a real picture, not just 2022 Glassdoor reviews.

did the marketing loop about 8 months ago. 5 rounds total: recruiter, hiring manager, 2 functional rounds (one focused on go-to-market strategy, one on past campaign work with metrics), and then yes, a Core Values round. no take-home for my level (senior PMM) but i heard APM roles sometimes get a case. the values round was genuinely rigorous, same as what people describe for engineering. they are not just going through the motions with it.

this is exactly what i needed. the 'not just going through the motions' part is useful to know. i've been treating it as a checkbox round and i should probably not do that.

for what it's worth, the case study format at Airbnb marketing tends to be more 'here's a real business problem we've had, walk us through your thinking' than a traditional structured case. they want to see judgment and prioritization, not a perfect framework. worth being comfortable saying 'i'd want to know X before deciding Y'.
