got a first-round recruiter screen scheduled at AIG for a Product Manager role in their digital/technology division. interviewing in 3 weeks and trying to build a real picture of what the loop looks like.
if you've been through AIG interviews recently (2025-2026), would love to hear: how many rounds and who was in them what the behavioral questions actually focused on anything that surprised you or that you wish you'd prepped differently
I've seen some older posts but insurance company hiring can shift a lot and I don't want to prep for the wrong thing. any format, any role is helpful. thank you

went through it for a different PM role about 6 months ago. they asked a lot about stakeholder management in complex orgs, specifically when you have to build consensus across functions that don't naturally align. insurance is a matrix org and they want to know you can navigate that. also got a product vision question that was more about how you'd approach understanding a market you don't know well than any specific domain expertise.

from the hiring side perspective: at companies like AIG the behavioral questions aren't just filler before the real interview. the panel is specifically evaluating judgment in ambiguous situations and how you handle regulated environments. prep stories where you had to slow down to get it right rather than move fast and break things. that's the cultural fit they're calibrating for.

I interviewed there for a strategy role, not PM, but the behavioral panel asked me two questions about times I disagreed with a decision and had to execute anyway. be ready for that. they want to know you can commit once a call is made even if you pushed back during the process.
