Accenture interview process: what to expect

Primly Team · 0 replies

Accenture's hiring process varies a fair amount by service line (Technology, Strategy, Operations, Song/Consulting) and level, but there are some consistent patterns worth knowing.

For most Technology roles, expect 2-4 rounds. Early screens are usually with HR or a recruiter, covering background fit and motivations. Technical rounds depend on the role: software engineering tends toward coding problems and system design (not always LeetCode-hard, often more applied), while data/analytics roles lean into SQL, Python, and case-style scenarios. Consulting tracks include case interviews, behavioral rounds, and sometimes a group exercise.

Behavioral interviews are a serious part of every loop here. Accenture heavily uses competency-based questions aligned to their core values: client value creation, one global network, respect for the individual, and stewardship. STAR format is expected and rewarded. Have stories ready for collaboration, navigating ambiguity, delivering under pressure, and driving client impact.

The process can be slow. Weeks between rounds is normal, especially for larger enterprise account teams. Follow up proactively.

Level calibration is often re-evaluated mid-process, so be clear about your experience scope early.
