collecting recent Accenture interview loops, interviewing in 3 weeks

got an Accenture interview coming up for an Operations consulting role, mid-level. trying to build a clearer picture of what the loop actually looks like in 2025-2026 because a lot of what i'm finding online is pretty dated.

specifically curious about: number of rounds and format (virtual vs in-person?) how heavy the behavioral component is vs technical/case timeline from first round to offer anything that caught you off guard

if you've been through an Accenture loop recently (any service line, any level), please drop your experience here. even a few sentences helps. trying to calibrate before i commit my prep time.

went through accenture song (marketing consulting) loop about 2 months ago. 3 rounds, fully virtual. first was with a recruiter, second was a behavioral with a manager level, third was a case plus behavioral with a senior manager and a director together. the case was pretty applied, not a traditional consulting case, more like: here's a campaign challenge, how would you approach it. timeline was about 7 weeks from app to offer.

From the hiring side: behavioral is always at least half the evaluation, often more. For ops roles they're looking for process improvement examples and stakeholder navigation stories specifically. The case component is lighter than pure strategy, more about your thinking framework than case math. Prep STAR stories that highlight cross-functional work and handling ambiguity.

did a tech consulting (not pure ops) loop in Q1. 3 rounds virtual. surprised me that round 2 had zero coding and was pure behavioral. by round 3 they asked me to walk through a technical architecture I'd designed before. no whiteboard, just describe and talk through tradeoffs. felt more like a portfolio walk than an interview.

that's helpful, the portfolio walk format is good to know. does it need to be from a consulting context or can you use examples from an internal product team?

internal product team was fine for me. they care about the technical decision-making story, not whether you called it a 'client engagement.' just frame the stakeholders clearly.
